The gigashot™’s high capacity Hard Disk Drive means you can store up to 55 hours (or 20 DVDs!) worth of video right in the palm of your hand. The gigashot™ comes in two high-capacity models, either a 30 or 60-gigabyte version. (GSC-R30 or GSC-R60).
No media means no additional expenses!
With the gigashot™’s onboard Hard Disk Drive, you’ll never need to spend money on DVDs or tapes to record your video.
Don’t lose a thing
gigashot™ comes with special drop detection sensors to protect video recorded and stored on the Hard Disk Drive. The gigashot™ is designed not to overwrite your existing video unless you allow it.
Advanced 10x optical zoom and steady shot
The gigashot™ uses Canon’s premium optics 10x zoom lens to put you right up into the action, and the built-in image stabiliser keeps the picture rock solid, even if your hands aren’t.
High quality recordings every time
The gigashot™ uses the high-quality MPEG2 format, which is the same way videos are stored on DVD. This makes converting your video to DVDs easy. Recordings don’t lose quality as they don’t need to be converted from one format to another.
Takes photos too!
With an onboard 2.0 Megapixel digital camera, you won’t miss a second of the action. Advanced photo features like the 10x optical zoom and image stabiliser ensure you’ll get the perfect shot, even when you're recording video.
Bright lights for night shooting
Use the very powerful, very bright Assist Light to shoot night scenes or improve the lighting conditions in indoor settings.
Room to expand
Add some SD memory to increase your storage capacity. Both SD and high speed SD cards are supported by the gigashot™.

Designed to be used with one hand, the gigashot™’s unique Jog Dial interface puts all of the settings and options at your fingertips.
Thumbnail images mean instant access
The gigashot™ creates thumbnail images of your recordings, making it easy to find and view photos and videos.

Change image colour to add special effects to your movies, including vivid, monochrome and sepia effects.

All the software you need
Toshiba includes AC/DSEE and PowerProducer® software with the gigashot™, so there is no need to buy additional editing tools. The bundled software allows instant recognition of the camera, still image editing, video editing, DVD authoring and burning.
Burn a DVD in 1-2-3
With the 3-button ‘Burn to DVD’ option, you can convert your videos to DVD for playing on the living room DVD player or a computer.
Print photos in a snap
You can connect the gigashot™ directly to PictBridge compatible printers, and the gigashot™ supports DPOF for easy kiosk-based printing. Just connect the gigashot™ via its USB 2.0 connection to a printer, or remove the SD memory card and take it to a photo kiosk.

Ultra-fast data transfer speed
gigashot™’s USB 2.0 interface means you can transfer video up to 12 times faster than the speed of a tape transfer. For a one hour video (4 gigabytes), gigashot™ takes only five minutes to transfer!
Easy connections
The gigashot™ GSC-R60 comes with a handy docking cradle that includes a USB port, Ethernet connectivity, an AC adaptor and A/V output. You can also purchase the docking cradle as an accessory.
